Dana Casteel (she/her) received her Bachelor’s in Music Therapy, with a minor in Communication Sciences and Disorders, from Cleveland State University and completed her internship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center’s Western Psychiatric Hospital and the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is currently a music therapist at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH and works on the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Unit. Dana also recently completed the NICU music therapy training through the National Institute for Infant and Child Medical Music Therapy. She previously served on the GLR-AMTAS Executive Board throughout her undergraduate education in the roles of Treasurer, Vice-President, and President and is thrilled to be joining the Executive Committee again as a Student Co-Advisor! Dana is passionate about advocating for mental health, as well as adoption discussions and centering adoptee voices. In her free time, Dana enjoys reading, rock climbing, being with friends, and playing piano and oboe!
