With great optimism and hope for the future of the GLR and our profession, we are pleased to share that the GLR Executive Committee recently approved the Final draft of the GLR Strategic plan. Above is a graphic depicting the new GLR vision, mission, and core values.  These guiding statements are the foundation on which we will move forward with all of our programming, initiatives and decisions. 

I encourage you to review and reflect on the final draft of the GLR Strategic Plan here on the website.  In the spirit of transparency, you can view our Full Strategic Plan, as well as a Working Copy of the plan’s goals and objectives that will include ongoing progress updates for the GLR Music Therapy Community to view.  This Strategic Plan is the contract and agreement between the community and the GLR Leadership for the next 3 years. We want all to have access to it so that we can all work to hold each other accountable.

In closing, I would like to personally express my appreciation to all who have been a part of this process.  The dedication, passion, and commitment that has been so visible in this work is inspiring.  I am grateful for the willingness to engage in tough discussions as we bring our commitment to change and growth to life in our actions, initiatives, and programs. The mission, vision, core values, and Strategic Plan will touch every aspect of our work and impact our decisions moving forward.
