Our Organization

The Great Lakes Region of the American Music Therapy Association (GLR-AMTA) is home to six states (Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin), twenty-one colleges and universities offering a degree in music therapy, and thousands of individuals who receive music therapy services.

Our vision states a music therapy culture that inspires ongoing growth of music therapists, their networks, and the profession.

Our mission is to create an inclusive, equitable, accessible, and informed community of diverse music therapy partners across the Great Lakes Region.
